Illinois Junior Chefs

Thank you, Chef! The University of Illinois Extension’s SNAP-Education program is teaming up with Marion Carnegie Library to offer Illinois Junior Chefs – a 5-night cooking education program for ages 8 – 13. It’s totally free and open to everyone aged 8 – 13!

Practice some important kitchen skills, like measuring ingredients, using a knife, and cracking an egg. Learn some new recipes. Try something new!

This program requires registration. Visit the MCL Children’s Department or call the library at 618-993-5935 starting May 30 to secure your slot.

NOTICE: All participants and parents understand and agree that photos taken at library events may be used in social media postings and future promotions. Children 10 years old and younger must be accompanied by a guardian at all times while attending MCL Children’s Department events.
