Food for Fines
Support the Marion community while taking care of some MCL late fees when you participate in Marion Carnegie Library’s annual Food for Fines program!
How does it work?
Simply visit the MCL Main Desk and donate items listed in the “What can I donate?” section below to help local non-profit Gum Drop Kids provide child-friendly food to help enhance the quality of life for at-risk children.
All donations collected at Marion Carnegie Library will go to needy students in the Marion Unit 2 School District.
You’ll receive $1 in MCL account credit for each donated item.
Credit can be used to waive overdue fines. Credit is not valid for LOST/DAMAGED items or for printing costs.
What can I donate?
Note: Items can expire no sooner than 6 months from the donation date.
